If everybody can experience the room through the recap, being in the room had no value. Make something people regret missing.

A COMPUTER WITH A DEATH WISH
At NowHere in New York, artist duo exonemo has suspended a rock above a computer. The machine continuously tries to crack its own code. If it succeeds, the rock drops and destroys it.
Most conversations about technology ask what the machine can do for us. This one asks whether intelligence eventually develops the urge to end the assignment. It is stupid, existential, physical, and funny. More technology should make us feel something this complicated.

BACTERIA VS. BATTERIES
Students at New Design High School built a project around using battery-consuming bacteria to recover materials from lithium-ion waste. That is the future we are interested in. Not innovation presented as another smooth interface. Innovation that sounds slightly impossible, a little disgusting, and useful enough to change the world.
