Yo Diary, why does everyone keep saying that ego is bad? I believe that ego can be a driving force in creativity. When it’s harnessed correctly, it can totally push us to explore new ideas, challenge the status quo, and bring fresh perspectives to the table. This kind of creativity can benefit not only the individual, but humanity as a whole.
But I get it's important to remember that too much ego can be a destructive force. It can def lead to arrogance, closed-mindedness, and a resistance to change. I catch myself fighting this all the time! I think that's why it's crucial to strike a balance between confidence and humility. It’s like when you have the courage to take risks and put your own unique spin on things, but you're also open to feedback and willing to grow, you're way more likely to create something seriously innovative.
So, I say to everyone who wants to make a difference in the world, we shouldn’t be afraid to let our ego drive our creativity. But we always need to keep it in check and stay true to ourselves. The most impactful art is created by those who aren't afraid to challenge current existence and push the boundaries of what's possible. After all everything eventually ROT$.
